Day and Night in NYC

Day

New York, known as the city that never sleeps, nothing could be more true. Every corner turned, a new universe evolves in its own way. Floors built upon floors, creating different architectures within every high standing building. The smell lingers from the greasy hot dog stands pinned on almost every corner, with impatient tourists queueing up awaiting their famous New York hot dogs. Screeching cars slamming their brakes almost bursting eardrums as the traffic moves along as slow as a snail. Everyone brought here for their own different reasons. Every race, religion, age are all here and brought together like a community. Sun glistens the hid away cafes as if they are playing hide and seek with the tourists. Leaves scurrying along Central Park like a tiger catching its prey. The day time buzz really gets everyone in a different mood, mostly happy. Occasionally, white fluffy flurries fall from the sky as if the sky is sprinkling salt over Manhattan. Things happening everywhere as you pan across the worn-out streets, with homeless souls trying to survive the cold winter ahead. Manhattan, built so perfectly that it does not seem so real. Starbucks coffee plotted on almost every street. Horses trotting their way with their tourists sat on the carriage for a tour through Central Park. Christmas around the corner, cheers, and joy are shared throughout the island. Every messy street is put together with Christmas decorations all lit up and hung across the streets. With New Years Eve also slowly approaching, the streets are filled with policemen, dressed in there blue and white uniforms searching for trouble. New York really is a wonderful place and a city that really does never sleep.

Night

The streets fill with pure darkness as if somebody turned a flashlight off. Lights start to light upon the tall standing buildings looking like they are floating in the atmosphere. Underground subway rattling as it travels beneath the rugged streets feeling like an earthquake. The clouds of steam rising from below through the grates. The day time buzz has now settled down with little to no noise, but an even greater factor of light now. Light polluting the air for miles, with faint outlines of stars blurred in the sky. Full moon, shining almost as bright as the sun with craters indented into it. Cold, dark night shares died down crowds, less traffic, and noise. Restaurants opening their doors as people scurry around looking for a place to eat to desire their tastebuds. As you pan across the streets you can begin to see the different behaviors acted by others. Drunk people tripping around trying to wave a taxi, families making there way back to their hotels, everything you could imagine. Policemen out on the streets, breaking up trouble or looking to help as they can. The high rise buildings make it seem as though it appears as a vertical city. The atmosphere filled with joy and emotions underground in the subway with live music as people study the subway lines to emotions shared at the world trade center memorial. The night time has a very different and unique vibe to itself in the city that really does not ever sleep.
